ASFOSIL-DW-80 is a clear transparent fluid containing solvents, water-displacing additives and rust inhibitors. It has the unique property of displacing water and moisture completely from the metal surface with a micro-fine rust-inhibiting film to give protection for a few days. It gives a dry type clear film less than a micron in thickness. Parts treated with ASFOSIL-DW80 can easily be spot welded.

USES:

It is mainly used for displacing water from parts and components after water washing or water rinsing to give temporary protection. It is used to give temporary indoor protection for parts in process, assembly or fabrication. ASFOSIL-DW80 is also used in ultrasonic cleaning machines to clean parts and components after assembly to remove finger prints, moisture, dirt, etc.

APPLICATION:

ASFOSIL-DW80 is to be used as supplied without dilution by dip, spray, brush, wipe or swab, at room temperature. Best dewatering properties are obtained by dipping parts for 2-5 minutes. ASFOSIL-DW80 can also be circulated through empty fuel tanks and pipelines to displace water and moisture and give temporary protection.

Note: It is absolutely necessary that parts be completely clean and free from rust, scale, grease, oil, etc. prior to application.
