About Rust Preventive Oil

ASFOSIL-MS is a solvent based rust preventive containing resins, rust inhibitors and organic additives. It produces a golden yellow film coating about 5 microns in thickness and gives indoor protection for about 10 months.

USES :

ASFOSIL-MS is used for temporary protection of ferrous and non-ferrous parts. It is generally used for protection of non-moving parts and components. It is also applied on chrome or nickel plated surfaces specially during monsoon to prevent rust.

APPLICATION :

ASFOSIL-MS can be applied by dip, spray, brush or swab. It is to be used as supplied without any thinning or dilution at room temperature. Once applied, it usually dries within 10 minutes. Drying should be carried out in open dry and well-ventilated areas. Parts should be handled with care during drying to prevent damage to film. Packing of parts should be done only after the film has completely dried.
